The NEBOSH International Diploma builds on the content covered in the NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC).
The NEBOSH International Diploma is split into 4 units (A to D) which are assessed individually
Assessment consists of 3 half day exams for Units A to C while Unit D is assessed with an 8,000 word work-based assignment

Unit ID: International Application of Health and Safety Theory and Practice
Unit ID consists of a written assignment set by NEBOSH (designed to demonstrate the application of the knowledge you have gained through units one to three of the course) and is approximately 8,000 words in length. Submission dates for Diploma assignments are in February, May, August and November each year.
All four units are mandatory and there are no optional units. Delegates can choose to take one, two, three or all four units at the same time or at different times.
Units one to three are assessed by one three-hour written question paper each with each paper covering the whole unit syllabus - with at least one question per unit element. Candidate scripts are marked by external examiners appointed by NEBOSH.
